Updated: Roads Being Cut, Named and Graded
Development at Royal Gorge Ranch & Resort continues with significant progress on the road network that will serve all 152 lots across the five eco areas. Roads are being cut, named, and graded to provide reliable year-round access while preserving the natural character of the 800-acre property.
The road design follows the contours of the terrain rather than imposing a grid pattern. This approach reduces grading, minimizes erosion, and maintains the visual integrity of the landscape. Each road is named to reflect the area it serves, making navigation intuitive for residents and visitors.
Lot sites along the new roads are being prepared with access points and utility corridors. The underground 200-amp electrical system is being extended to new sections, and water cistern and septic locations are being surveyed for each lot.
Road work is under way across all five eco areas: Royal Ridgeline, Buckskin Crags, Point Alta Vista Valley, Royal Meadow, and Wetlands.
The goal is straightforward: build the infrastructure that lets people live here comfortably while keeping the land as wild as possible. Every road cut is made with that balance in mind.
